Hi, I'm Andrey, Moscow born web developer, designer and photographer based for the last two decades in Budapest, Hungary.
I've spent quite a few years with print design and photography. But I've been so fascinated with Internet back in 1996, that my high school passion for programming slowly pushed me back to geekdom. So, here you go, I'm avid advocate of web standards, usability, semantics and everything open-source, and an active contributor to open-source community.
Nowadays I'm a freelancing Drupal professional and partake in project production teams.

One big Drupal thing:
In 2005 I've created the now de facto "official" Drupal showcase site: http://drupalsites.net. DrupalSites.net rocked ever since being opened, went through a few upgrades, consumed countless hours for development and moderation. It's absolutely non profit project (true, there are some ads but they barely pay for hosting or a couple of beers and coffees while moderating). I feel very proud to maintain it as it has been proven a great marketing tool for Drupal, and those who seek some inspiration of what you can do with Drupal at all.

Photography:
I spent some years of my life being a photographer, but then I switched to things for web. However, shooting is still my passion. That started with my first SLR Zenit 12 (Zenit TTL) about 20 years ago when I was 14.
This website is not meant to be any super pro or artistic photo showcase. It is rather a photo blog where you can see daily life from my point of view. Almost all images are raw, unprocessed and direct out of the camera.
I actually feel no desire to mention every technical detail of the image like most of photobloggers tend to do, so, this site is more about impression than about A's, S's or focal length.
About photo equipment:
My experience shows that the best approach in daily shooting is to have one good pro or prosumer SLR and one advanced compact camera. It gives you much more mobility and flexibility than one good SLR with different lenses.
In different times I used couples like these:
Or... mix them to your taste. Plus, the cameraphone is always with me (it is Motorola Defy now).
Other cameras used (there were more than a dozen of them, but I remember these ones):
Minolta F100, Olympus Camedia C-4000 Zoom, Minolta Dynax 5000i, Canon G1, Canon G5, Zenit AM + misc. cameras borrowed from my friends to make some shots.
